EC8000X - Low VOC Indoor/Outdoor Epoxy

Product Description

The EC8000X is a low VOC water based epoxy primer and stain blocker. This low VOC product is easy to apply, maintain, and clean on virtually any indoor or outdoor substrate. This product is UV resistant and does not yellow. Decorative flakes can be added to this coating to help hid floor imperfections and give your floor that WOW factor. This product is sold in 2.5 Gal sets for the colored version 1 Gallon sets for the clear. Coverage is appx 300 sq.ft per gal for both colored and clear.

1-2 coats of clear will give the floor a ‘polished concrete’ look at an economical price.

VOC is less than 50g/l, meeting the most stringent California environmental laws in all CA counties.

Fast drying (2-3 hours per coat and can be open to foot traffic in just hours).

EC8000X s a 2-part product and comes in pre-measured containers for easy mixing by simply pouring the Part B into the Part A container, and then mix well.  Thickness 3-5 mils. Long working time of approximately 1 hour in normal temperatures. Coverage will vary depending on desired thickness and density of the floor. More porous and rough floors will require more coating yielding a lower coverage. 

Please note that the clear has a slight amber cast to it so to avoid any minor ambering of surface apply the clear coat thinly. 

If you are looking to add decorative flakes then application will be:

• 1st coat of colored version.
• 2nd coat colored version (2nd colored coat optional but suggested for maximum adherence).
• Add decorative flakes
• 3rd coat of clear version.
• Add decorative flakes

Choose from Gray, Beige, and Clear (Satin Finish) versions.

This product is not suitable for wood substrates. Please refer to our other products that can be used on wood substrates.
