Metallic Epoxy Kit- 3-Layer - Commando Coat 600X

The Commando Coat 600X - 100% Solids Metallic Epoxy Kit is a 3 layer metallic epoxy coating kit. This DIY kit includes material and appliances for a 600 sq.ft space (equivalent of a standard 2-car garage).

Create endless patterns and designs with metallic powders to make your floor the highlight of your home.

Coverage results vary with surface porosity, floor texture, application methods and technique. Heavier applications and rougher surfaces will yield less coverage.

What do you get with the kit?

• Prep/etch concentrate
• Primer
• 2 gallons of contrasting color 2-part epoxy
• Basecoat
• Part A - 4 gals of clear 100% solids epoxy 
• Part B - 2 gal of activator
• 24 oz. container of metallic shimmer pigment
• Topcoat
• 1 part military grade topcoat with powder nonskid additive
• Job on a Pallet Kit contents (described below)

Priming with contrasting colors (normally black) primer is required. 

Instructions:

1. Prep the floor via acid etch or diamond grinding
2. Apply primer coat of epoxy and let dry overnight
   
3. Mix the metallic powder with part A of the 100% solids clear epoxy. Once you pigment the Part A you can mix as much as you need (just hold the 2:1 mix ratio consistent with the Part B) so you don’t have any waste.
4. Mix Part B into Part A using a 2:1 mix ratio. 
5. Apply basecoat (this is the metallic coat) with a squeegee and spread evenly. Let dry overnight.
6. Topcoat with the 1 part military grade topcoat. Be sure to add nonskid additive while mixing topcoat. Pour and let dry overnight

Notes:

• Please note we do not guarantee results as each install will differ depending on installation. Please watch how-to videos on youtube to familiarize yourself with the process of installing a metallic epoxy flooring system.
• If you have never epoxied a floor then we would recommend either hiring a professional installer or choosing another system which requires less skill.

Available in a variety of metallic colors. This system can be used with any metallic powder on the market if you can not find a color choice of your liking.
